On our last day in Acadia we did two more hikes - once around the Great Head and the other to the top of Acadia Mountain. The day started cloudy but was raining by the time we reached the top of Acadia Mountain. We finished the day with some pizza in Bar Harbor and then decided it was time to leave the park. We'd love to return another time; preferably when it's sunny.
Pictured above is the only fjord in the eastern US, visible from Acadia Mountain (actually, it's a baby fjord - apparently the water's not deep enough for it to get the official title).
