Things Not to Do before a Major Move

If you decide to fly cross-country for a week {or more} before a major move, which might seem a bit silly by itself, make very sure your airline tickets are for the correct dates. Apparently I did not do this and have just realized that instead of five days to pack and wrap things up in Portland, we now have only TWO! Panic.

{I realize that I am mid-trip and just looked at our return flight information. Another thing you probably shouldn't do.}

So it looks like our family is stuck with us for a little while longer while our things in Portland remain completely unpacked.
