Remote

I have never seen any place as isolated and remote as southeast Utah. They advise drivers to keep their tanks no lower than half-full and with good reason - you can easily go 100 miles between exits. And even if you pass an exit after 100 miles, there's no guarantee there will be anything there. Literally. No building. No paved road. Nothing.

But what you miss in modern conveniences is easily made up for in scenery. I sometimes think Utah is America's best kept secret. It is a wild and beautiful landscape - assuming you don't mind the complete lack of trees of course.

I remember being amazed when I crossed the border between Wyoming into Utah at how gorgeous Utah was. I had no clue! Your pics are awesome!
