A Note for Carl and Marion: Put that cat in the mail! Mark didn't sniffle or sneeze once. It's all a sham!
There are few things I love more than a four-day road trip. It's long enough to feel like an actual vacation, but not so long you have to start re-wearing all your dirty clothes. On the agenda this past weekend was one of the last Southern towns I'd yet to visit: Savannah, Georgia.
There are 22 Squares throughout Savannah's Historic District filled with gorgeous Live Oaks draped in Spanish Moss. A little something about Spanish Moss: a) it doesn't harm the trees, b) it's a member of the pineapple family, and most importantly, c) it's loaded with chiggers. This was Mark, pre-trivial knowledge. Never underestimate the useful pearls of wisdom gained on an old fashioned Trolley Tour.
Although we're not big on shopping, we do occasionally browse - especially when air conditioning is involved. While out we found two things we loved. One was Pete the Cat.
The other were Toast and Pickle bandages. Not only do you get The healing power of Toast but there's also a free toy inside!Savannah Travel Tip: Skip the famed Pirate House for dinner and go to Vinnie Van GoGo's instead. Pizza for $20 is way better than fancy fish for $70.

Gorgeous picture of the sun coming in on the American flag. Savannah looks like a great place for photographers to run wild. Well done.
