Oregon has cornered the market on waterfalls. It seems a little selfish really. Seriously, how many spectacular falls does one state need? Most of them are throughout the Columbia River Gorge, but our favorite, Ramona Falls, was in the Mt Hood Wilderness area. After driving along numerous pothole-filled roads and hiking almost 4 miles in the rain, Ramona Falls was a pleasant surprise. It's not as dramatic as some of the others, but we were so sleep-deprived at that point, we didn't notice.
