These pictures are from a hike we did last Sunday (a week ago). We foolishly went into the GSMNP in October, along with everyone else on the planet, and hiked the 3-mile Fern Branch Falls Trail. It's not overly spectacular (especially since it was the follow-up to all our PNW hikes) and we were a week early for the fall colors. But still, we can't complain...
