Hiking and Baseball

This past weekend was filled with some very full days. On Saturday Mark and I drove an hour west to Shenandoah National Park for a hike and Sunday we drove an hour north to Baltimore for an Orioles game. It was 90 degrees both days so probably not the most advantageous for outdoor activities, but we lathered up with sunscreen, drank lots of water, and had a great time.

SHENANDOAH
Shenandoah doesn't hold a candle to the Smokies, but it was nice to get out of the city and into some mountains. We hiked the 7 mile Little Devil's Stairs trail (see the first photo - that's the trail. If you want to tone your bum, this is the trail for you). There were lots of rocks, creek crossings, and black snakes (see the snake?)... and also no shade from the trees. They weren't leafy yet.

BALTIMORE
The Inner Harbour

Camden Yards

and the troops - Mark, Me, Jessica (our newest roommate), Bea, and Andrew.
