Volunteer Your Mom

"Volunteer Your Mom" is either a public service announcement or some Florida trash talk. We saw it written on a van by people who must be confused about the current slang. I'm guessing they meant "Volunteer Yo Momma!" but who knows.

So, this weekend my good friend Patricia and her adoring boyfriend of 2 years, Bob (actual name: Bob Campbell. My dad's name is also Bob Campbell. I find this very strange.), made the trip up from Atlanta for some Knoxville fun. We went to Barley's in the Old City Friday for some pizza and then spent Saturday on campus tailgating and watching the Vols in an embarrassing display of football. Even though our tailgating neighbors were all gator fans, it worked out really well. We had a perfect tree and even bridged the divide by sharing our extra hot dogs and burgers.

A little male bonding. What's more manly than putting together a grill?

Here's a video of some bean bag fun for the kids at home. The gator fans we tailgated beside had set this up and were kind enough to let us play. Mark, Patricia, and myself were quite dismal at this game.

Mark's mono finally caught up with him - what a trooper.

At the game.

Several years ago my dad was made a lifetime member of the band. He has his own seat on the field and everything. Also posted is a game shot for the folks at home.
