London

Hello again.

This past week I kissed Mark goodbye and boarded a plane for London... solo.  I must admit this trip stretched me beyond my comfort zone, but fortunately someone was waiting for me on the other end.  And I came back feeling empowered and reminded of what I'm capable of doing when choosing to embrace excitement over fear.  And that little bit of bravery allowed me to spend five glorious days catching up with one of my dearest friends and finally meeting the newest addition to our friendly foursome {which I suppose is now a fivesome}.

Say hello to little Maia Papaya...

This was my fourth trip the London and the first trip where the city didn't feel foreign. Instead it just felt like an old friend.  My time was spent doing the following:
- played with Maia
- slow cooked some Boston Butt and made homemade BBQ sauce
- strolled along the canals
- strolled around Notting hill
- strolled along the Thames
- rolled pennies down the entrance ramp to the Tate Modern
- ate lots of Ben's cookies
- ate lots of sandwiches at Pret
- laughed uncontrollably at a Turkish Bath
- discovered the whispering gallery at St Paul's is broken
- spent many hours enjoying the company of my dear friend, which by far was the best part.

and...  I spent one evening babysitting.  This is how we were discovered at the end of the evening.  Me too afraid to move for fear of waking Maia and having her start crying all over again.  Fortunately we survived and I think by the end, she grew to love her Frauntie Tracy {friend + auntie = frauntie}

I miss London. I used to spend some time there as a teen. I'd love to go back and show Alex around. Seems like you had a great time.

Hope you're well! xo
