For the past eight years we have been talking about moving into the empty flat {or apartment if you like... when speaking about a British apartment, I'm a bit more inclined to use their word, which is flat} in the building below. It's the flat beneath Lottie and Guillaume's - two people who are incredibly fortunate to live on one of the cutest little streets in London's City Center. The flat has been empty forever but isn't for sale {and if it were, it would probably cost over a million dollars - location, location, location}.
On absolutely every trip {and in no less than half of our conversations via phone, email, etc.} there is talk about us moving in, installing a trap door and secret passage way between flats, thus alleviating the need to walk up one flight of stairs, and having weekly Tuesday night Catan games, Wednesday night dinners, Thursday night somethings or others... basically our social calendars would be completely full because we would all be hanging out together.

So behind that door is our future home... at least in our imaginations. And I have no doubt we'll be talking about moving in for as long as Lottie and Guillaume live one floor above, which could mean we'll still be discussing this in our 80s.
*On yet another unrelated note, Happy Anniversary to my very sweet husband. Nine years.
