Weekend Update

Mark and I are enjoying a relaxing Saturday at home while it snows buckets outside. This is our 5th snow since moving here - with each storm we get six inches in Denver and nine inches at my office. But life goes on as normal - schools don't close. Both bread and milk stay in full stock at the grocery. Were we in Tennessee, a forecast of flurries would have everyone in a panic. It still seems so alien to us.

To prepare we invested in some snow tires. We are the proud owner of one car and NINE tires! Four snow tires. Four regular tires. And one extra one that Mark can't seem to part with.

Below are some pictures pre-snow. These are from several weeks ago when we went out for a walk in nearby Evergreen. It. Was. Cold. Like, frozen pond cold. But sunny.

Pretty soon I will need to invest in a lotion-IV. Or a humidifier. Or both. Seven percent humidity. Two degrees outside. Just another lovely fall day in Colorado.
