For the 4th of July weekend, Mark and I packed our bags and headed to Alabama for a Campbell Family Weekend. The highlight: A 4th of July flight!! My brother has his pilot's license and took Mark and I up in a crazy small plane on Saturday night. We flew from Huntsville to Gadsden and back again, arriving back in Huntsville just as the fireworks began. We've seen 4th-fireworks in DC, Nashville, Knoxville, and at Faith Promise (very exciting - I always enjoy it when a few rogue fireworks go flying into the audience), but never before by air. They looked so small. It was fantastic!!
A picture of Mark and I by our plane pre-flight. And below is me climbing on the plane (a tad bored) while Pete does all the things necessary to ensure the plane won't crash.
From the cockpit, and Mark seated snugly in the back.

And for your viewing pleasure (I even ventured to itunes and splurged, spending .99 cents on a little background music). Some parts drag on (I could have cut some from the second landing) and the video's really not all that exciting, but I thought Pete might enjoy it.
